Since the icon retires to exploit in France some decades ago, people look for their nostalgia when they try to remember him with his identity,... But they started to confuse his mention to other Felix in any media after a mistake that they tell these days, even random jokes without thinking.

September 9th, 1934 as seen in the Sandusky Register
Sunday comic strip "Laura," a topper for the Sunday edition of "Felix the Cat." Laura the parrot has gotten snobbish after appearing on the radio. The family dog won't have it, so he climbs into the radio and barks at Laura through the speaker. On the right side of the comic, a "Funny Films" activity, where you cut out the heads of either a school boy or Felix the Cat making various expressions and animate them on top of a body.
