my irrational wrong hot take of the day is i'm not sure you should be allowed to post on social media unless you have a friend who writes fanfic or makes fanart to vouch for you.
i could go on about all the things we have that our ancestors didnt, how we have dodged violence and disease and famine and misadventure that has ended bloodlines. but that means we owe it to our ancestors to continue the work to make the world better for our descendants (even if you dont have kids)
i know everything is a lot right now, because *gestures at everything*. but. you've had more ice cream than your ancestors. and i think they'd be happy about that. (and, you know, you can read and write)
no, I'm not thinking about and missing a certain fish shack with the world's worst customer service but the best po boy west of the Mississippi, but thank you.
food preferences are fine. having aversions to certain textures and tastes is fine. but there's a certain type of person where the only water creature they eat is salmon that needs to be studied by scientists.
if you see me and my bestie wearin sheisties out in these streets NO YOU DIDNT

also, mind ya bidness. it's not like I'm out here handing pamphlets titled 'the dangers of human sacrifice' to the dudes you happened to start dating the week before Halloween and planned a 'night picnic' in the forest.
yes, that new piercing will heal you. or at least make you feel better. go get it.

this neither mental health nor legal advice.
now that it's cooling off, you're going to be covered up anyway. so get that tattoo and have a dramatic, fully healed reveal come the spring thaw. (and cut some of those funds for food bank donations)
how them new years resolutions treatin you?
grape
strawberry
raspberry
the rest

obviously if you make your own jelly/jam and give it to me, that goes straight to the top. tho i'm not putting homemade jelly/jam on a pbnj. that goes on toast first thing in the morning. and i'm buying special bread.
i really hate that 'quid pro quo' is so hard to say quickly.
more than one person has told me about the escape from duckoff game, so i guess i have to google it now.
i know i am preaching to the choir, but so many things in this world have been on my mind since january. i can't even begin to recount them. if you've gotten this far and you have the ability, throw some money to a food bank. please and thank you.
there's literally no downside to snap. we've known this for over a 100 years with all the different methods we've tried that failed.

it's moral
it's good for the economy
it's efficient
it lowers crime
it benefits businesses
it helps your fellow citizens
it keeps kids from starving
they're complaining about their tax dollars being used for *checks notes* feeding starving kids.

outside of the elderly, most snap recipients dont use them indefinitely. it's a stopgap so they can get on their feet and return to contributing to society.
the majority of snap beneficiaries are children and the elderly. there's no pulling yourself up by the bootstraps when you're 5 years old, and i say this as someone who had a job when i was 5.

gone are the days when people complained about their tax dollars funding endless wars and instead...
if you're still a fiscal conservative, profitable megacorporations get more in federal grants than snap benefits yearly. but you want to take food out of the mouths of children rather than corporations who absolutely do not need the money.
if you call yourself a christian, jesus literally fed a bunch of strangers for free. it was one of his miracles.

if you're a fiscal conservative, snap generates money for the economy. over 1.50 for every dollar spent. oh, and it's one of the most efficient and effective government policies.
yes, i'm posting about food a lot today. because i'm thinking about all the discourse around snap benefits and how so many people/bot accounts are insisting that poor people shouldn't eat.
i have consumed more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the past six months than in the entirety of my childhood. at this point, i am 32.8% peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
i believe i have reached the phase of my recovery where unhinged posting will resume. nature is healing.
'i dry scoop pre workout when i get to the gym' 'i dry scoop pre workout first thing in the morning'

dry scoop your protein powder, you coward.
