What do you generally use for a "read later" or "watch later" workflow? Everything seems broken.

Also I miss Google Reader.

I’m using Aptos like you wanted. I pasted from a text file. Why the hell are we back in Arial.

I’ve been using Microsoft Word since Windows booted from a DOS prompt and I still don't know where paste formatting comes from.

Now it’s Times New Roman. Now it’s a Heading 1 in Arial. The rest of the doc is Aptos.

Word: "because fuck you that's why."

Hiring managers: "We're against AI use in interviews!" It's a risk-free position to take in public.

It's popular opinion. "It's cheating!" resonates with most of us!

Then the hypocrisy comes to light. They all use AI in the hiring process. Sourcing. Filtering. Sorting by a "score." AI note takers.

I love posting things that filter out companies that would suck to work for.

We're approaching peak capitalism. Brooks wrote about surgical teams and communication overhead. Someone turned it into a layoff memo. Beautiful.

Just heard the wildest Mythical Man Month take. Paraphrasing: "Adding people to late projects makes them later, so we should fire the bottom 33% to boost productivity per dollar."

I'm using someone else's layoffs to sound smart. Follow me for more corporate horoscopes.

Love watching executives use "McKinsey is firing thousands" as their personal thought leadership moment. Very cool, very normal behavior.

The "Claude Code needs Bun" X "Bun now has a future" collab is a super positive result for devs.

Stack-shaming is developer insecurity in cosplay.

Pretend it’s “bad tech,” and you never have to deal with the fear that you stopped growing and everyone else didn’t.

This was on LinkedIn, not here. I mean, obvs.

The Stephen A Smith hot take culture creeping into dev is so bizarre to me.

I'm like hey congrats to this honestly humble founder getting acquired and being finally funded to do what they love! And I get "JAVASCRIPT SUCKS!" "WHAT A SELLOUT" "ANOTHER PRODUCT I'LL NEVER USE!"

The Bun guy's "butthole picture" is disturbing my fiancee and is leaving her wondering about software development

Corpsepack amirite?
December 3, 2025 at 1:06 AM
I guess all my handwringing over Corepack is now old news.

Screw Pytorch I want some Gob Bluth style coding up in this startup. Let's make the interns watch "The Prestige" after work today.

Opens a LeetCode problem.
Spoiler: it is Python with operator overloading so + is actually multiply.

Why are we hiring people based on this kind of puzzle? Software and code are for people to use, not for engineers to perform Ricky Jay-style close up magic for interviews.

Thanksgiving convos I'm looking forward to: "Mom the Chex mix is perfect how do you get just the right amount of cigarette smoke flavor?"

Credit Karma just called me out for buying a used guitar amp from a kid in a parking lot with cash.

Recruiters: "we don't copy-paste job reqs"
Same recruiters: "7 years React Native, 10x mobile dev, must know Kubernetes"
