We are proud to apply our expertise in delivering high-quality transnational education to support the Indonesian Government’s skills priorities, and I look forward to continuing to grow and strengthen this partnership.

Along with Tania Rhodes-Taylor, I led a King's College London @kingscollegelondon.bsky.social delegation to Indonesia (26–30 May 2025), where we officially launched the King’s–Singhasari Partnership. This builds on a long and impactful history of collaboration between King’s and Indonesia.

@funmiolonisakin.bsky.social shares an inspiring keynote speech about how cultural competency is not just about value adding, it is a way of life, way of being. #TransformwithCCResearch

How do we teach #leadership without reducing it to managerialism? What does it mean to engage with leadership as a global, plural, and contested idea?

#TeachingGlobalLeadership

Through its focus on #global #leadership issues, it introduces #students to different cultural perspectives. It also addresses #geopolitical challenges and equips students for #careers in public service, including social and private enterprises, particularly those operating internationally.

In “Teaching Global Leadership in Higher Education: Leadership Across Cultures,” we show how the study of #GlobalLeadership can enhance students’ generic and transferable skills, encourage communication, problem-solving and group work.

What would it mean to take Global Leadership seriously as a field of study in its own right? How can universities respond to global crises without reproducing narrow or domesticated understandings of leadership?

#TeachingGlobalLeadership

This subject is of increasing interest in the 21st century, as the geopolitical, even existential, challenges of the age require both #research and #practice which transcend the boundaries of both #nations and #academic disciplines.

The book provides the conceptual underpinning, the multicultural perspective, and the practical guidance to help #universities worldwide in designing and developing curricula in #GlobalLeadership.

It is a rare privilege to have co-authored “Teaching #Global #Leadership in Higher Education: Leadership Across Cultures” with the excellent and indefatigable Michael Flavin, published by Palgrave Macmillan.
