“&” I had the privilege to be with Ted this year as we celebrated his 80th year. To think about it, I’ve known this guy for 45 years – an incredible photographer and printer of his work.

Years ago he wished that he would live at least as long as his dad, who passed at an early age – you passed.

“&” Enjoyed a random visit with Jean and Gary in Healey Falls, ON 2025

Jean lived in my grandparents home from 1964 when they moved to the Eastern Townships Quebec. Grandpa was the lock master at the flight locks on the Trent. Gary eventually worked the same job.

In our travels, we witness events — simple, rich, metaphorical, or profound — pulled from our psyche. They can be settling or disruptive, and if fortunate enough, we click the shutter. I felt quite moved to photograph this man twice.
