Why would people save up for a rainy day?

You can't do anything. It's raining. You mostly just stay at home.

It just means I might modify the way I do it - maybe a script instead of a story - and work out a different way to track the progress (MS Project?).

So my plans for #NaNoWriMo were slightly derailed when I learned the original organisation had shutdown in March. This was quite a surprise, and not a nice one because it had been a huge part of my life for 20 years or so.

However I'm still going to go on with "Lost in A Galaxy" because - why not?

"War of The Cocrophages" is truly one of the great episodes of The X-Files. Not because of the plot (it's ridiculous) but because of Scully's reaction to the entire thing.

"Who died now?"
"Her name is Bambi?"
"Her name is .... Bambi?"

The entire thing is just brilliantly written.

Apparently at the next customer meeting I'm not allowed to tell our customers that the data transfer method we use for API calls is that "little magic pixies carry the information in the wheelbarrows from your app to the server and back".

My boss thinks it will sound bad.

Still can't figure out why people blame #TheDoctor for Charlie's death in #Kerblam - I think this was he first and most obvious example of the misogyny (from the fandom) that destroyed the series. Because I just don't get it.

It really is quite a lot of dry comedy (and quite dark comedy in places) that you don't normally get in #DoctorWho and I think a lot of people overlook this to rush to judgement about how bad the series was.

The writing and humour in the #DoctorWho episode #Extremis is really quite good.

"We know one person has read it and is still alive" (almost at once the sound of a gunshot rings out through the library).

Bill trying to reassure her date that everything will be fine, just before THE POPE walks in.

For the longest time I thought Dr Teeth was saying "Bicean Myst" - referring to some type of ancient kingdom.

Turns out he was saying "By sea and mist". Which, I admit, makes more sense in the context of the song.

It's going to take almost all of tomorrow to fix so the bank holiday is going to be spent without internet - always fun - and it is triggering my wifi network going in and out - also fun.

All in all tomorrow is going to be a wash and so very fucking annoying.
