Hello all! It's time I convince a few of you that I'm actually a VTuber.

I'm Gael and my home is the Crossroads Clearing, a liminal rainy forest clearing that calls those who need love, or to give love.

What are people's thoughts/theories on the sarcastic use of polite/supportive emotes in both games and chats?
Like how in Hearthstone/Magic Arena, if someone gives you a Hello it's 25/75% polite/toxic.
People weaponizing kindness has made it harder to *be* kind online, I'd think.

I love the lesson and I understand, but I think a linguistics lesson on the different meanings of "see" might be more helpful for people at this point
For anyone confused, there's a small period between seeing and comprehending what you see. So you "look at" the raptor, then "realize" it's a raptor

My 2c: This admin is incompetent and while atrocities take place, they want and are unable to do so much more
Police are actively working against ICE and that tension is rising by the day
Riots are what they want. Not only can we not do anything, we shouldn't. (Tweets aren't long enough for nuance)

My brand of autism dulls my emotional expression, which makes me seem calm but also makes it hard to connect emotionally at times. I also grew up in a situation that left me with Hyperempathy (extreme sensitivity to changes in behavior signaling emotional states) so a lot of this hits home for me.

If I could add;
Don't be afraid to just ask "What's wrong?" and to do it early.
Arguments are like conversation, we signal them to each other. Replying to anger with "What about this upsets you?" or "Is something else bothering you, wanna talk about it?" can de-escalate things.

Honestly, I'd take having a parasocial "friend" over (even via haunting) over my current situation. On the bright(?) side I think script-writing for videos is becoming an outlet and method for me to process things, so at least that's good news for my channel soon.

I caved in, sat down, and wrote out a full youtube video script today. I just had to do something to keep the feeling of being a content creator alive while I wait on assets.
It's not a huge topic and I tried to limit my rambling, but is 800~ words a decent first try?

I'll second Voices of the Void, but it does take either a basic guide or a friend in chat who can help explain the gameplay loop. It's not tricky, it probably just needed a longer tutorial.

I could try, but when I joke about being single I'm not kidding. She puts in like 6-8 hours on days she doesn't work (we share chores it's not as bad as it sounds >u<)
