Hello from Sweden! 🇸🇪

I’m a 35-year-old artist who specializes in pencil drawings. I’ve only been drawing for a few years, but it has quickly become my passion.

This is one of my drawings—what do you think? I’d love to connect with others who share a similar interest in art and creativity. ✍️🎨
Nature keeps inspiring me, and I'm grateful to translate it into pencil strokes.

Looking back can be just as important as looking ahead.

First leopard: drawn in 2020, just after I started.
Second one: from this year.

There’s something truly special about drawing animals you often see in everyday life – like the squirrel, quick and curious. I’ve tried to capture both the calm and alertness in its gaze.

New on the drawing board: a woodpecker starting to take shape.

The exhibition on Sunday didn’t quite go as planned – after several hours of setting up, we had to pack everything up again after just two hours due to heavy rain. Once the downpour started, at least the takedown went quickly 😅

At the art exhibition in Nusnäs today – and enjoying the beautiful weather! 🌞
Fingers crossed it stays like this all day.
It’s such a joy to meet other artists and be surrounded by so much creativity and inspiration. 🎨🖤

Here’s a glimpse of my latest drawing in progress.
Sometimes it’s in the eyes and the tiny nuances where the animal’s presence truly starts to emerge.

There’s still a way to go, but I’m already starting to like what I see 🖤

This portrait took longer than I expected – but now it's finally finished. ✨
Some drawings simply demand their own pace.

The First Half of 2025 in Pencil

Half the year has already passed – and it’s been filled with pencil drawings for me. I was honestly a bit surprised myself by how many I’ve managed to finish!

I think I’m about halfway done with this female portrait now. It’s slowly but surely starting to take shape – and soon it’ll be time to dive into those small details that really bring everything to life.

I almost didn’t post today because I felt I had nothing “pretty” to show.

Most of the time, a drawing looks rough and unfinished. This portrait will probably need 10 more hours – and for 9 of them, it’ll still look “wrong.”

Just a reminder: keep going. The magic often comes after the struggle.

The lynx portrait is slowly coming to life – but like a true wildcat, it takes its time! 😼✨

Lynx in large format 🐾✍️

This will be one of my larger pencil drawings – 50×70 cm – and I’m really excited to see how it develops! It's just the beginning, but I already feel there’s something powerful in the lynx’s gaze.

A moment of closeness, captured in pencil – perhaps extra fitting now that Midsummer is just around the corner and romance is in the air 🌿

Wishing you all a beautiful Midsummer’s Eve – with flowers in your hair, laughter in your belly, and maybe a kiss or two

I'm really happy with how this wolf drawing turned out – there was something very meditative about working on it, and I actually had a hard time putting it down.

Currently on my drawing board:
A wolf slowly taking shape in graphite. This is one of those drawings I’ve really connected with – there’s something special about trying to capture its wild yet noble essence.

This portrait really took its time – but sometimes, that’s exactly what it needs.
I struggled with the hair more than I’d like to admit 😅 but eventually, I made it work.

The bear is finished! 🐻🖤
This portrait took many hours – layer upon layer of pencil to create depth, texture, and that feeling of strength and calm at the same time.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

I drew this little raccoon last year while I was on vacation in Spain. Instead of taking a siesta, I spent my afternoons with pencils in hand, enjoying the calm.

It’s one of my personal favorites from 2024 – and earlier this year, it also found a new home 🦝❤️

Here’s the finished portrait – or at least almost.
There are a few details I plan to adjust later, but overall I’m quite happy with how it turned out.

I often start my drawings with the eyes. That’s where expression is born – where life begins to show.
To me, it’s the eyes that pull us in, hold us there, and silently tell a story we somehow understand.

Here’s a close-up of my latest project – a portrait of a woman slowly taking shape on paper.
Right now, I’m focusing on skin tones and soft transitions, and it feels both challenging and exciting to shift from fur to skin again.

Meerkats from an Old Photo Album

This drawing (30×40 cm) is my attempt to capture the feeling of an old black-and-white photograph.

Work in progress – meerkats in focus!
As I draw these two meerkats, I can't help but think of old-fashioned black-and-white portraits. I'm trying to capture that exact feeling – as if they're posing for the camera – and bring it to life on paper.

Until the very last day before the exhibition, I wasn't sure I'd finish in time – but on the final evening, every detail fell into place. Now it's hanging at **Mora Kulturhus** (until May 31st) among my other works.
