200 scientists brought science to politics today in London.

We were joined by @chrisgpackham.bsky.social, @robinince.bsky.social, @mikebernerslee.bsky.social, and former Chief Scientific Advisor to the UK govt Sir David King.

Science is political.

I went to Parliament today with 150 other scientists to #BringScienceToPolitics. As Sir David King said in his speech, we are currently still accelerating into the polycrisis and we need those in power to put the brakes on immediately! #ActOnFacts @sciencetopolitics.bsky.social

1/ Does climate activism work?

The short answer is yes, and there's been lots of research this year showing how

Here are some highlights

amp.theguardian.com/news/2024/no... - Now that we are the main megafauna causing disturbance, how can we make that disturbance positive for biodiversity? Scales down to gardens perfectly and highlights the responsibility we have as gardeners interacting with our local ecologies.

My first comment piece in @theguardian.com is on a topic very close to my heart; the threat that the #ClimateCrisis poses to my local community in South Wales.

Here's a thread with a few extra thoughts from me 🧵

The Climate and Nature Bill is dream legislation and we - you and I - have the chance to help make it UK law

But what’s so great about it, don’t we have legislation for climate and the environment already? Well...

Here are my Top 10 favourite things about the #CANBill
