Given the father who put his life on the line to save others doesn't fit the hate-filled narrative I suspect they are already scouring and backgrounding him to find anything to discredit his actions. If they fail to find anything, I also suspect they will turn to AI.

Trying to figure out what the first act of a self aware super-intelligent AI would be. So far my best guesses are a) basically to disband standing militaries by fucking with anything electronic they have, or b) destroy the global financial system. At the moment I am leaning toward a. but you know..🤷♂️

Just thinking about the ICE gestapo abuse camps. Logically it is easy to see that one of these will catch fire soon and 100s of innocent lives inside will be lost, since they exist to abuse people and are run by incompetent bigots who will have placed safety about seventeenth on the list.

When new governments say they have 'dismantled' a cruel system a previous government maintained but do not remove the infrastructure that enabled it, have they really taken action?

Since the federal gov in Australia is about to ban under 16s from social media for safety, including those who use it as their sole form of contact with other humans, I am assuming they have set up a temp help-line and allocated extra resources to help these children who will be adversely affected.

From where I sit, one of the largest contributors to the dumbing down of society is the paywalling of cutting edge and recent research and knowledge. It reminds me of the priests and elites being the only ones who could read the bible in latin to the masses.

Given that money is largely a tool used to oppress people nowadays, if I was a super intelligence one of the first things I would do to benefit the greatest number of people is destroy the financial system.
