The story is that they tabbed him to produce "Go2". He turned them down saying they had enough good ideas of their own, they should produce themselves, and didn't need him.

Hence the subtitle of Battery Brides (which sounds like Eno) on that album. "Andy Paints Brian".

I do like Osman, the podcast with Marina Hyde is great, but I read TThMC and never wanted to read any more of the series. Terribly...nice. Worse it seems to have spawned a whole genre of twee, middle class amateurs, crime solving novels. Have you seen a book shelf in Tesco?

Nerd thing: the 2025 mix of Free As A Bird has made a slight lyrical change, as far as I can tell. Which must mean there were various versions done by the surviving Beatles.

In George's bit the original line was "whatever happened to / the LIFE that we once knew?"

Now it's "the LOVE that..."

I think you'd struggle to find a band, intact. Solo artists of course would be easier. I don't really know CSNY's later work, or the Grateful Dead (and even then...) and that was off the top of my head.
