I was wondering whether he was still alive.

One of those folk who when he does die, most people will say "wow, thought he died years ago".

I assume he prayed for forgiveness.

"And the Nobel Prize for having one bollock goes to..." (opens envelope)..."NIGEL FARAGE!".

(camera cuts to @herring1967.bsky.social biting his finger).

According to another thread, he once went on GBeebies and advocated that marriage between siblings should be legal.

A desperate, desperate man.

Only if you use them as suppositeries.

I'm in there somewhere. A brilliant day at the RAR festival.

Sigh, I was young once.

Bet it stinks.

Actually, I *know* it does.

The story is that they tabbed him to produce "Go2". He turned them down saying they had enough good ideas of their own, they should produce themselves, and didn't need him.

Hence the subtitle of Battery Brides (which sounds like Eno) on that album. "Andy Paints Brian".

"The sun on the meadow is summery warm.
The stag in the forest runs free.
But gather together to greet the storm.
Tomorrow belongs to me."

A shirt about four sizes too big.

The crispness and stiffness of a new school uniform. A grid of seven hours on five days filled with horrific forbearance.

I do like Osman, the podcast with Marina Hyde is great, but I read TThMC and never wanted to read any more of the series. Terribly...nice. Worse it seems to have spawned a whole genre of twee, middle class amateurs, crime solving novels. Have you seen a book shelf in Tesco?

Nerd thing: the 2025 mix of Free As A Bird has made a slight lyrical change, as far as I can tell. Which must mean there were various versions done by the surviving Beatles.

In George's bit the original line was "whatever happened to / the LIFE that we once knew?"

Now it's "the LOVE that..."

I think you'd struggle to find a band, intact. Solo artists of course would be easier. I don't really know CSNY's later work, or the Grateful Dead (and even then...) and that was off the top of my head.

I think Bernard probably would win

And by the way. We can't pay benefits but we can afford shiny jet fighters and bowing down to Trump in committing tax income to war

Apropos of nowt: Micro interview with Sara Pascoe on the BBC news. Sharing a dressing room with Farage prior to some Guardian event. "Nigel this is Sara, she's a comedian". Farage: "I don't find comedy funny". Not I don't find Jimmy Carr or Chubby Brown funny. "I don't find comedy funny"
Sara Pascoe can't forget what Nigel Farage said to her
