While I'm not a fan of this, I sort of see where he's coming from. Few people read newspapers anymore, and media has been shifting for a while. I think Bezos is, in his mind, trying to center the paper and "reclaim" the center. I question though if this is the right strategy to do that.

Slavic literature and folklore. It was one of only two gen ed electives I was allowed - being in the engineering school. The stories were weird, but a welcome break to all the math. Which I remember some of the stories and none of the math.
