All right "Friends" this seems like something we #Quakers should know about. Anyone into some culture jamming in New York?

God bless the grass that grows thru the crack
They roll the concrete over it to try and keep it back
The concrete gets tired of what it has to do
It breaks and it buckles and the grass grows thru
And God bless the grass

Defending trans people is obviously morally just and ethical. Beyond that it just is tactically the correct thing to do because the GOP is going to say the same thing about Dems no matter what and either you can respond with 'well my opponent has some points' or 'look at this hateful shit'
cnn.com CNN @cnn.com · Aug 9
Republicans are reprising a key attack line from last year’s presidential race for elections this year and next – betting that anti-trans messaging will help them counter Democrats running on GOP-led cuts to Medicaid and other parts of Trump’s policy megabill.
Republicans reprise anti-transgender ‘Kamala is for they/them’ ads for the midterms | CNN Politics
Shortly after former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced his plans to run for Senate, a group backing Republicans released an ad with an echo of last year’s presidential campaign.

I am so excited about next week’s guest on the channel… I literally don’t know if I can wait until Wednesday to post it, but I will try…

This will be my last interview for a while as I rustle up some new volunteers to come on! Who would you like to have on?
Remember Flock the browser?

I actually really liked it back in the day. I loved all the blogging integrations.
Yep. And he’s been choosing that for a LONG time.
Question: How long has Elon actually been "crazy?"

Satire and ridicule are important tools for a civil society working to stave off authoritarianism.

I mean my God what is in those files?
@penaddict.com I've got a couple days in SF this week and would love to visit a couple rad stationary stores and test a few things out. Have you recommended places in the past or have a few you think would be fun to check out? I'm a few notches above beginner when it comes to this hobby. Thanks!
Loving this book: Dilla Time by Dan Charnas. What a creative way to tell the story of Dilla’s influence on popular music through biography, Detroit colonial history, and ethnomusicology done in a very approachable way. Would highly recommend (still reading but feel confident this will continue).

Now, let's remember what else the so-called Christians in Congress are OK with:

*Court finding of fraud
*Court finding of defamation
*Court finding of sexual assault
*Constant lying in public
*Never attending church services
*Rewarding the wealthy
*Mean-spirited behavior
*Mocking the downtrodden
Mike Johnson on canceling Congress until September: "We're not going to play political games with [Epstein]"
"The obsession with discrediting King is older than the FBI itself. J. Edgar Hoover… inherited his suspicion of Black leaders from mentors in military intelligence who surveilled King's father & grandfather…"

Colbert comes out swinging. Gonna be a fun 10 months...
I love this!
Here you go! I'll write some new ones for this semester too. They loved them. The "read without your phone or screens in the room" was a revelation, and many of them decided to keep doing it. They had NO IDEA (& were horrified) how often they interrupt themselves to look at a phone for no reason.

Amazing! I don’t think I’ve seen chants yet but I’m very new to this.
