I was asked recently why I still #Blog about the kind of topics that #WitchSky, #OccultSky and #ChaosSky are interested in when the internet has moved on to a short form video format. My answer is simple. I do not create to chase trends, and my audience at theacceleratedchaote.com like to read.
Something a little metaphysical for #WeirdWednesday this week. I remember reading this what feels like an age ago now, and was unaware that it was available online until today. Love me some classic takes on the sprawling mess that The Matrix would become.

Here we go then, #WitchSky. Announcing the full release of my Charybdis Sigil technique to the wider community. Spiralling layers of intent, all given equal chance of manifesting a common goal. And all you need is a pen and paper. Share this far and wide, eh?

Charybdis Sigils
I have always attempted to be an innovator within the chaos magick space. And while this has only ever been possible due to the work of the many and varied members of that ersatz community who came…

Trialling a new sigil technique ahead of the sigil bomb next month. And this one is actually rather interesting. Once I get it working this pen and paper method will lattice multiple wordings of the same intent into a single glyph using a grid - and therefore maximise the chances of one ... (1/2)

So, busy day. Batch cooked chilli for the freezer and then made pork shoulder for dinner too. Don't enjoy cooking as much as I used to, but in short bursts and with the right music it's still fun. Hot chocolate and a book under a blanket this evening. Skoob Books' The Necronomicon perhaps? Why not?

OK, so slight change of plan again. Spent the morning under a heated blanket typing away, decided to push myself and return to the original format for The Weird Year Ahead entries over at my blog. So two six month essay style explorations of 2026's Roman, Pagan and demonolatry related ... (1/2)

Going to be one of those #MercuryRetrograde kind of weekends. With this arctic blast still in play all I want to do is stay under a blanket, and the resulting head cold has also made concentrating on writing tricky too. Guess sometimes you got to just give in and drink hot chocolate on the sofa.

So, #PhantomsFriday then. One from my vault of published articles, this was featured in #PaganDawn magazine. My experiences ghost hunting as a Neopagan among groups that were not. Received positively at the time, this may also interest #ForteanSky as well.

Ghost hunting is not for everyone. Indeed, those who already have a rich and varied experience with the spirit world through their regular Neopagan practice are unlikely to want to spend the night …

Oh now this is interesting, as I'd forgotten about this show completely. Doesn't help pin down what got me into all this Fortean stuff I guess, but TV like this would have helped set the background hum of The Weird for me growing up for sure. The 90's were proper odd.

First proper frost here in Cardiff overnight. Caerphilly Mountain seems to have shielded us from the worst of the arctic blast so far, but the ground is definitely frozen. Made sure to put out extra bird food to help tide all the denizens of the nests in our trees over until it eases off a little.

Don't think there's a formal #FolkloreThursday this week, but I thought I would still share something interesting. Speaker script from a talk by Alison Petch on the early scientific enquiry into Spiritualism given at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford University in 2013.

So, New Moon plans then, #WitchSky? I'm doing the Buthcher's Moon observance from my book, The Accelerated Necromancer this evening. A red candle dressed with ground allspice to honour those who were unable to be buried whole. A morbid one, true, but someone has to remember the outcast dead.

First of three blog posts designed to highlight dates of interest for 2026 within the spheres classical Roman observances, Pagan feasts, Demonolatry rituals and Astronomical events is ready. Set to go live at my portfolio on 13th December, it covers January to April. Will sort the second entry soon.

Someone say #WeirdWednesday? No? Well here's my entry anyway. This show from 1999 is a valuable time capsule, and really does reflect the massively varied kinds of people who used to join paranormal investigation groups around the Millennium, before it was mainstream.

So, updates. Hammering out the format for my blog post designed to highlight the #Pagan, #Occult and #Astronomical observances for 2026. Current plan is to release it on my portfolio blog free of charge in two six month parts. First will be 6th of December, second 6th June, so both a month ahead.

To #TechnopaganTuesday then. While using modern social media to share such a grungy, utopian vision of angry #Cyberpunks holding out against corporate and governmental tyranny at the fringes of cyberspace is at best ironic, it remains valuable to do so. What we lost, eh?

As you know my article on pop culture hauntology as applied to pagans and witches in late 20th Century documentary media want live on Wild Hunt a month ago. And I just got paid for it. This is a milestone, #WitchSky, as I usually just get exposure or a copy of the book.

All done. The prep work on the instructional images and such for #ProjektLunarSigil is complete. Not the actual seven days of sigils of course, I'll work on them nearer the time. But all the info that y'all will need to take part is now ready for the official December 1st announcement date. #GameOn.

Winter spice hot chocolate raises steam on my desk. Radiator hums a quiet plink plink plink as the mist taps at the window above it. Keyboard clicks in time with my dancing fingers. Diary for 2026 complete, back to the prep work for my upcoming Sigil Bomb. Tired, sure, But still so much more to do.

Recommendation for my fellow UK based #Witches, and not sponsored either. Sainsbury's Habitat have the most amazing little tubes of incense at the moment. The stopper is a serviceable burner too. Love the sea salt and driftwood one personally, burns super clean and lightens the energy in a space.

Taking an admin related day today. Setting up my diary on #Obsidian for next year, seeing as we're deceptively close now. Noting the classical Roman, Greek, Norse, demonological and Pagan festivals, got the moon phases, meteor showers and celestial events to add as well. But worth the work for sure.

Out and about this evening. Dinner plans with family, and then a bit of shopping. Dare say that The supermarket will be wall to wall Christmas crap, though I do like a spiced apple pie candle and will definitely be looking for one. Or five. Other than that, writing again when I get home. #BusyBusy.

#Forteans have a reputation for being a little on the sour side, and this post of mine from last year is no exception. That said, it is the damned facts that led me to wonder why we are stuck in a time loop. One for #ForteanFriday and #ForteanSky for sure.

Right #WitchSky, #OccultSky, #PaganSky and #DruidSky. It's #FollowFriday. This is my usual post for the week to help you all find your tribe. So Like this post, share it if you want, and reply with who you are and what #magick you do. Then follow those who do that tickle your brain. #Simple.

Well I missed #TechnoPaganTuesday this week, but here's my entry anyway. Found this pretty listenable #BBCRadio version of #Neuromancer a while back, and while I tend to be wary of #RadioPlay adaptations, due to what they cut out, this 2003 attempt is not bad at all.
