I 3D printed Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from Return of the Jedi, for no reason. Actually I made two, and painted one. Nuts that you can produce something like this in a couple of hours.

I thought I might try printing off wearable masks of the face scans I took of me and a pal. The result was odd and slightly unnerving. Reminds me of a Doctor Who story.

I have a banal question to ask about socks. I like a sports sock but they’re not giving me enough comfort. The biggest size feels tight.

I buy soft towelling socks (pictured) but despite their outward fluffiness I can feel the weave of the sock fabric underfoot.

This week I bought a new, fairly enormous, resin printer to go with my 3D scanner. Made a 1:1 print of my hideous face. Lets me see what surgery is needed.

Self levelling, AI camera for monitoring, very fast. Big thumbs up.

Full head scan with Creality CR-SCAN Otter, printed on Elegoo Mars 5 Pro in resin.

I added the hair. *cough*

It’s a 3D printed Connor McGregor. For no good reason, all the other reasons you might suspect.

Lots of fun at the cast and crew premiere of Dept. Q last night. The show’s on Netflix now and it’s great. Brilliant to have worked on it.

I am feeling very anxious, what with the having Death Star plans in my pocket and everything.

Apologies for the false impression this photograph gives. I haven’t actually been to bed. Good morning.

What better Easter gift than to enjoy the groovy theme to Now You See It, the master recording in its full clarity. You'll have to read in the Announcer's bit.
"Every answer, to every question, is right here, before your eyes, and - Now You See It!".
He truly is risen. At least, I am visibly risen.

Another entry in my tedious series of 3D printed broadcast TV ephemera. The Channel 4 logo was fiddly so I took James Knight’s advice and did a number 2.

There’s me in the picture for scale.

Every scene in Trigger Point (itv).
“Keep really still you’re sitting on a bomb. Stop wriggling!”
“Help I’m sitting on a bomb I’ve got ants in my pants I’m wriggling”.
And so on.
It’s quite good.

This is my 3D print journey. Get any or all of a myriad parameters wrong and it’s a fail. This thing was too heavy for its support structure and has wilted. It’s a 6 hour print so I’ll leave it til next weekend.

Yes, yes - GET A LIFE etc.

@redlettermedia.com Hey guys do you still have a PO Box?

Not sure if I’ve slept awkwardly or something else but the tip of my left index finger is completely numb.

If you need something pressing or poking with plausible deniability from me now is the time to ask.

Repost with the first album you bought with your own money.

It was my 8th birthday and I was told I could have this or a Tom Baker Tardis toy from the Bric’a’Brac shop which I wanted very much.

I have no regrets.

Retro TV logo 3D print FOR NO REASON. Think I might make a wee wall clock with it.
Thanks to @sighdone.bsky.social for the inspiration and and a clutch of other 3D files.

I really want to post that I buffed my rough faced fingernails with a super fine emery board I bought off Amazon and they’ve come up ridiculously shiny. But that would be turgid content so I won’t.

One to set the VHS for - this 1974 Omnibus documentary about Laurel & Hardy (narrated by Morecambe & Wise) is on BBC4 this Thursday.

I haven't got anything that goes with it. And I mean that most sincerely.
