Apple says that the #series11 #applewatch has 24 hour battery life, up from 18 on the #series10, but they are now counting 6 hours sleep tracking.

My series 10 uses about 5% battery per hour during the day, and half that when sleep tracking.

So battery life on the 11 is about 16% better.

Important PSA for anyone who has an annual tradition of watching A Muppet Christmas Carol: on Disney Plus, under Extras, you can watch the full-length film, including the song that was cut from the DVD, and without which it doesn’t make sense.

I'm looking for more beta testers for my side project: Places History, an app for Apple Watch and iPhone to create a private record of the places you visit. More details at gdcl.co.uk/places. Email geraint at gdcl.co.uk to find out more.

I’ve been working on digital video for decades, including DirectShow and Periscope. But recently I’ve been experimenting with some side projects for the Apple Watch, and rediscovering the joy of programming just for the fun of it.

We’re lucky enough to have red squirrels in our garden. They seem much more agile than greys.
