That cover without the fearmongering does go pretty hard though

But I still want to know the thinking behind the body decisions

The Ann Arbor area has too many Cybertrucks btw

I now really want to know the reason for these decisions, since the Evo VII WRC car was still very obviously mostly Evo body parts. Clearly there was more wiggle room for body work for that generation, but was there a space/aero/cooling advantage at the front? Why the taillights?

Is still on Netflix right? Just hit play again

I was looking at some photos of the Mitsubishi Evo VIII based WRC car, and I noticed something odd. It looks like they actually used base Lancer taillights, not Evo ones. And then I noticed that the hood/grille and headlights appear to also be derived from the base Lancer, too, rather than the Evo

I’m always surprised at how much more widely adopted laserdisc was than I thought

Federal charges against a Chicago couple who were arrested for protesting against ICE were dropped after a grand jury refused to indict them.

And at some point it dawned on me that I was working the night of the daylight savings switchover, and I was so overjoyed when I realized I had an extra hour to finish. I think I was within an hour of the submission time when I turned it in.

Well I can’t match that, but I had a similar last minute research paper for a college class that I was working on at the start of November. I was in a hotel room in Vegas just before SEMA (got a pass from my internship employer). Was up all night, was getting a little despondent…..

Wait, TNG was released on laser disc?

Wait, you only JUST learned about it? It’s been out a couple years now in Europe. The colors and graphics are superb

Like, it probably wouldn’t be successful, but I still kinda wish we got this in America

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

In Super Smash Bros., the skeletons visible when characters are hurt by electric attacks are not tied to specific animations, and instead are a form that can be toggled on and off at any time, including in cutscenes. Below are excerpts of the game's intro, with skeletons.
