If you think of jazz as not only a genre of music with distinct characteristics, but also as an attitude, then jazz never really died, it's influence is still present in the popular music of today. I'd argue that hip hop/rap is a logical continuation of jazz.

i get to see dew again after 3 and a half months i'm definitely most excited about driving the long distance again and then seeing them right afterwards. i think driving relaxes me somehow

Just like why do i need to share my thoughts to a public place to garner attention from other people just to promote my music in the comments that no one will see. it feels so inauthentic i would just rather go out IRL and talk to people and form a connection than shouting into a void
