I’ve been a cosplayer for 15 years, won multiple national prizes, and I'm experienced in many cosmaking fields, as well as hosting panels.
In 2 weeks I'll travel to Vienna to represent Spain in a #cosplay competition (Tournament of Champions) ✈️

Algo que nunca imaginé de tener un gato es lo mucho que dificulta la productividad. Porque es sentarme cinco minutos en el sofá o en la cama y ya se me pone el tío al lado y estamos tan a gustito (y yo tan blessed) que a ver quién se levanta para seguir haciendo movidas 😭

I don't want to crush people's dreams, but I think we need to focus less on "going viral" and more on building a strong community around our works. Having A Big Number by itself doesn't help much. You can't eat social media numbers. You need the people on the other side of the screen to CARE.

First of all, that's emotional manipulation. You aren't only guilt tripping the people that actually support your work, but you are also minimizing them because you are showing that you only see them as numbers, not as humans who love your work.

Stop guilt tripping your audience. "Oh my posts are flopping", "I suck at cosplay, I should stop", "You guys don’t like my content anymore 🥺👉👈". That's a very toxic and manipulative behavior. Just stop.
