Delighted that the 'flagship' manuscript on our @genesandhealth.bsky.social 44k exomes (British Pakistanis & Bangladeshis) is now preprinted. Great academic-industry collaboration. Lots of new associations (mostly additive, a few recessive) and new insights into homoz knockouts & drug discovery.

By combining thousands of genetic signals into one polygenic risk score, we can pinpoint young British South Asians at highest inherited risk of developing Type 2 diabetes—often years before symptoms appear. Our data shows those in the top 10% of genetic risk develop diabetes up to a decade earlier
