Here's a 🧵 of why I've been absent these past few months, but the tl;dr is IRL stressors made me uncomfortable with continuing to use Bluesky in that state. These stressors have been mostly dealt with for now though, so I think I am comfortable with coming back now. I'll try to post here more often.
So we've come to the end of the year and I barely posted anything despite saying that I would try to post more. Unfortunately, a lot of IRL matters came up that caused significant stress for me and I went dark for several months. I really want to try to make it a goal to post here more often, but...

Man, using social media is just exhausting. On one hand, I'm glad I'm not addicted to it like some poor souls are. On the other, it takes FOREVER for me to catch up on everything if I haven't checked the site in like a week. I need to find a good balance in regards to how frequently I catch up here.

It has been a while since I posted, so I figured I should give an update. Things are still a bit rough, but the dust from the events over the past month or so seems to be settling finally. Work is going well and my superiors are going to push for me to get promoted in June, so hopefully I'll get it.

So good news, I'm no longer on overtime. This past month has been a huge struggle and incredibly stressful, not just because of work but because of previously mentioned personal matters that I don't feel comfortable discussing in a public space like this. Good god, these past two weeks have been absolute hell. The amount of emotional whiplash I've experienced is enough to give a JRPG story a run for its money. And topping it all off, this past weekend, something had happened that made me feel a furious indignation I have not felt in a very long time.
