Jorginho has replicated David Luiz’s success by winning the Champions League with Chelsea and the Copa Libertadores with Flamengo. He is the 15th player to ever lift both the Champions League and Copa Libertadores, but the first European to do so (even if he was born in and grew up in Brazil).

Spurs must have a serious problem playing against teams playing in all-black kits — five goals conceded against PSG in midweek, now two inside the first six minutes at home to Fulham. What Vicario was doing for Fulham’s second, I do not know. A horror show for the Spurs ‘keeper.

The more I see Joe Gelhardt’s winner against Stoke, the more I appreciate his touch before striking the ball. Not only does that show his quality, but also his sky-high confidence — he’s now got seven goals in his last nine games.

Lamine Yamal has opened the floodgates for this current crop of young stars. Estevao (18yo) ended up outshining Lamine (18yo) last night, and Lennart Karl (17yo) is showing his quality tonight. It won’t be too long until Max Dowman (15yo) is strutting his stuff at the Emirates too.

The last time Everton won at Old Trafford, it was thanks to an 86th-minute Bryan Oviedo goal on 4 December, 2013. Roberto Martinez — who is in the Sky studio tonight — was Everton’s manager that day, while David Moyes was in charge of United. Just like tonight, Seamus Coleman started that game.

I haven’t seen a team show as much resilience in a game this season as Everton tonight. It would’ve been easy for the wheels to come off after Coleman’s early injury and Gueye’s crazy red card, but instead they regrouped and played like warriors. David Moyes should feel so proud.

This feels like a fantastic next step for Wilfried Nancy. His Columbus Crew team with Cucho Hernandez — which won MLS Cup and then Leagues Cup — was so fun to watch.

Leo Messi with one goal and three assists tonight. Even at 38, it’s still such a joy to watch him in action. Messi has 20 goal contributions from Inter Miami’s 25 goals over the last seven games. Crazy.

Messi playing as a false nine with two flying wingers in Tadeo Allende and Mateo Silvetti makes Inter Miami look so much better. Luis Suarez is still watching on from the bench as his teammates go 3-0 up. Inter Miami heading to the Conference Final!
November 23, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Mateo Silvetti has some future ahead of him. After his assist for Leo Messi earlier in the game, he’s just put Inter Miami 2-0 up with a fantastic finish into the far corner. Just 19, he’s someone to keep a close eye on over the next few years.

Much is said about Arsenal’s defence, but their strength in depth really told today. Hincapie was really impressive in Gabriel’s absence, while Merino excelled yet again as a false nine with Gyokeres out, helping Eze flourish in the process. What a time to be a Gooner.

Eberechi Eze with the first hat-trick of his Premier League career. What a time to have his best game so far in an Arsenal shirt.

Richarlison does his best David Bentley impression at the Emirates — and it comes off. What a goal!
November 23, 2025 at 5:45 PM
All three of Arsenal’s goals have gone in that bottom left corner. I’m sure that is something Arteta will have identified before the game. Eze, attempting to hide his grin, gets his second against the club he was close to joining this past summer.

Blackburn Rovers’s impressive recent form continues as they win their fourth game in their last five. They were 23rd in the table before this run — now they’re up to 16th. Beating Preston, their high-flying Lancashire rivals, will make this particular victory feel even sweeter. #Rovers #PNEvROV

Leo Scienza is too good for the Championship. What a goal that was.

Bristol City have some really good characters in their squad, as exemplified by Scott Twine and Zac Vyner in the post-match interview. Would be great to see the club in the Premier League in the not-too-distant future; the city of Bristol deserves a Premier League club.

You've got to think Will Still will be under plenty of pressure following this defeat. Twelve points from 11 games, even if last season's hangover is still very much present, is not good enough. Ralph Hasenhuttl watching on from the stands tonight too... wonder if there's anything in that.
October 21, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Scott Twine with another quality dinked chip over Alex McCarthy. So poor from Saints, but Bristol City are flying.
October 21, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Saints have looked all at sea whenever they've had to defend this season, starting back against Wrexham on the opening weekend. Eleven games in and there's yet to be signs of improvement.
October 21, 2025 at 8:18 PM
Leo Scienza is some player, eh? He’s quickly earning his way into the hearts of Saints fans with his performances.
October 21, 2025 at 8:09 PM
Got to feel for Santiago Hezze there. Ridiculous play-acting by Marc Casado.
October 21, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Excited to see Christos Mouzakitis in this second half. A chance for the 18-year-old to show what he can do against a top-level team like Barça.
October 21, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Kevin Schade is going to have a lot of clubs interested in him next summer. Such an impressive player.
October 20, 2025 at 8:31 PM
West Ham let off there, but great movement and finish by Thiago. Fantastic pass by Mikkel Damsgaard, too. Odegaard-esque. Brentford unlucky to only be 1-0 up at the break.
