Grevillea, not Banksia ...

A pair of Pale-headed Rosellas visited our Banksia and Tuckeroo trees. They are my favourite parrot. I heard them before I saw them. Glorious!

This cockatoo landed and screeched on the roof above me. I grabbed my phone ... he was more surprised.

I wouldn't so no to a The Long Dark film at some point.

Noisy Miners everywhere atm. Shooed away a Kingfisher before I could grab the camera.

Steam's Autumn sale is on and you can get THE LONG DARK for a good price. If you aren't ready to jump into our WINTERMUTE story mode, you can buy SURVIVAL MODE on its own and upgrade later. This also opens up the TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY DLC.

To think that librarians and lecturers used to freak out if we photocopied more than 1 chapter in a required text book. 😅

I miss long-form episodic TV. TNG developed characters that you invested in. Darmok, for example, drew the best out of Picard/Patrick Stewart. But Worf's "I am NOT a merry man" is still the best.

Need help with interloper? Check out my latest behemoth of a video, outlining all you need to know from spawn to first hunt. Done on vanilla TLD, though I highly recommend the Tales DLC if you don't have it.

My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter heard us talking about New Zealand. She wanted us to 'build' NZ in the lounge room. The diamond stars in the sky was the big task. I'll worry about the sticky tape on the wall later. 🙂

It may help to remember you're a 'market', not living and breathing people. You expect less that way.

A crackle of sulphur-crested cockatoos landed on my roof and back deck today.

Rainbow Lorikeet in my front garden in a Grevillia. Lots of Greenies (Scaly-breasted Lorikeet) around but very flighty at the moment.

Happy Birthday. "I know I'm human," because I'm jealous. 😀

We're down to our last few maple creme cookies about a year since we visited Canada!! Luckily, we still have Tim Tam's for coffee breaks.

I subscribe to Corridor Digital for the same reason. It's about $40 USD a year.

I wonder about something similar to a YouTube member channel. Maybe storyboards or experiences could be shared. Perhaps a staggered release is available with members getting it a week earlier to fuel interest for other (potential) players. (Though, I'm in IT, not marketing, haha.) (5/5)

I'm open to your suggestions with Blackfrost. It would be challenging for me to get my head around subscribing but I refer back to my comments about "beloved" games. I've been playing TLD for so long, I can't imagine having been subscribed for that long, but, financially I get it. (4/5)

My preferred position is (1) I want to be able to buy and play games without subscribing first, (2) I would own that game and be able to play it but would not be entitled to new subscriber content, (3) the game company would have a value proposition attached to subscribing. (3/5)

Back in the day, I would have paid for more regions in TLD. The Far Territories is/was sensational. For me, it's about perceived worth. E.g. I don't want to pay ONLY for a new "Everest Survival Goose Down Jacket" without tangible benefits. (2/5)

You said "beloved games". My list of "beloved" modern games is very small: TLD, RAGE, Age of Empires. Hinterland has added value to TLD and kept people engaged. Replayability is key for me and Survival mode is infintitely replayable. I'm looking forward to adding Blackfrost to the list. (1/5)

An article in the news reminded me of this tucked away on my shelves. Before the sequels, this was canon. I've included a reference to the Whills from the prologue below.
