Kingfisher, 3 Grey Wagtail, Jay, 2 GreyHeron, resident Buzzard.

Maiden Castle had juvenile female Sparrowhawk, 100s Linnet, 6 Corn Bunting, 6 Stonechat, flocks Mipit, Chiffy,2 Raven mobbing Kestrel.

Cuckoo day at Maiden Castle #DorsetBirds 🪶 a very well marked & accommodating juvenile bird! Who were the foster parents we wonder 🤔?
A grey, still & quiet day.
Also, Northern Wheatear, Whinchat, 12 Stonechat, 7 Meadow Pipit, 200-300 Linnet, several Chiffchaff & Dunnock.

5 Wheatear, 3 nr car park, 2 at edge of stoney field, where a male Northern W chased off a much darker bird (possibly female Black Wheatear? 🤔

At least 6 Spotted Flycatcher poss ten, in the wood. 2 Firecrest, c10 Willow Warbler ♥️ in a flock. Nuthatch, several Chiffchaff, Chaffinch & Tits.
Whinchat on perimeter fence, 25+ Stonechat, 40+ Mipit, some Yellowhammer.

Culpepper's Dish for a 2025 Crossbill tick. Several flying though distant. Female atop a nearby short tree & 2 males flew close. #DorsetBirds 🪶
