Help us welcome back the sandpipers! The Western Sandpiper spring migration has begun, and this week we can watch the birds as they feed on intertidal biofilm over the mudflats of Roberts Bank on the Fraser River estuary. Free but space is limited: georgiastrait.org/about-us/eve...

Our Community Organizer, Khalid was lucky enough to see part of J pod including their new baby from the ferry. "Seeing J63 was beyond special- an unexpected gift. I’ll cherish this for the rest of my life.” Moments like these reinforce why we do what we do at GSA. Happy Earth Day! #earthday

GSA has been working hard to stop the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 megaproject, as it's bad both for workers and the Salish Sea food web. Check out this doc produced by our allies that highlights the potential impacts on a small species of migratory shorebird, the Western Sandpiper. (👀 teeny chicks 🥹)
