Here is a blog on using the Argo CD Agent 0.4.1 with OpenShift GitOps 1.18. As a reminder, the Agent is currently Technical Preview at Red Hat so not intended for production environments until GA. However feedback as we move to GA would be greatly appreciated.

Trying out the Ghostty terminal again after an update on Arch, some good improvements everywhere. The main thing it is still missing is a scrollbar but I'm going to try getting by with a keybinding to move forwards and backwards between prompts.

Trying out the Argo CD Agent for the first time, really impressed with the event driven architecture it is using under the hood. Ensures resiliency when network connections are spotty, pods restarted, etc.

Saw Caught Stealing tonight, excellent movie. I was expecting a zany adventure but man that was dark. Austin Butler was awesome in it, the cat should get a best supporting actor nomination.

That was an unbelievable game from the Bills, no way they should have won it but somehow they did.

I've pushed out a pre-release version of an Argo CD Extension that adds an AI Assistant to the Argo CD user interface. I'm looking for feedback since up to this moment I've been the only one using and testing it. You can find the release with instructions here:

My son finished his 2.5 year college program for software development mid-August and just got his first job at a local consulting company that he interned at previously, starts on Tuesday. So proud of him!

I will be working on a new blog today but I'd rather be writing some code.

My wife says this can't be real, where's the hamster and the spinning wheel? Totally fake!

I had a CT Scan done a few months ago for some sinus/ear issues and they sent me the imaging on a CDROM for which I had to go out and buy a USB DVDRom reader. Man I totally forgot how pokey and slow these things are but in its day it was considered spectacular and revolutionary technology.

My wife and son are watching the Amazon movie War of the World's. I had no idea they were into torture and pain...

Rabbit just chilling in my front yard when I got home. A few years ago we had two rabbits that were a couple that visited periodically and my wife referred to the them as "fluffy fuckers" as there was some inappropriateness from time to time. I miss those two but maybe this one is a descendant.

I need a toggle on social media sites that says "Don't show me AI Slop" but I suspect that would be counter to their business model.

Playing the game Expedition 33: Clair Obscura and it's been such a compelling experience with a strong narrative and excellent voice acting. I'm going to be sad when I finish this one.

Bought a new laptop and went through Windows to install new firmware before switching it over to Linux. Going through a billion setup screens before I can actually do anything is a good reminder of why I don't use it outside of gaming (and I really need to switch over there as well).

Short blog on adding alerts to the OpenShift monitoring stack for OpenShift GitOps to enable monitoring of health statuses. Argo CD includes so many health checks for resources OOTB why not take advantage of it for some free health monitoring.

AI slop and platforms that serve content by algorithm are a match made in hell. Hopefully Bluesky never changes in this regard and would love to see a non-algorithimic Facebook equivalent.
