When my mother was having me the woman in the bed next to her said, "My baby stood up and told me he was too smart to live."
What does Trump want? To be Putin. If Putin got a hundred billion from his oligarchs, Trump would get a trillion from his. And Putin can be the boss for however long he wants. So can Trump if he plays his cards right. Russia's got a constitution. So what? #putin #trump #constitution #deal #ideal

Query letter, part one:

Two Gorgeous Books

Hi, I need an agent for two gorgeous, cinematic books but I don't know how to do query managers or wish lists, etc. Here are three consecutive chapters you can READ, LISTEN TO and/or WATCH. Click the links. They're on Substack, an industry standard:

New query letter: Part Five

If you find a single lousy chapter (out of seventy), let me know. Either would be ideal for "book to film" adaptations (or the other way around), as well. Thanks. G.

New query letter: Part Four

They're both finished and ready for a serious publisher or movie maker who might like a Pulitzer or an Oscar or two, i.e., they're among the few truly significant pieces of writing you'll ever be given the chance to consider.

I need an agent for two gorgeous books. The first is easy to read literary fiction, a funny, apt, engaging, psychological thriller. The other is straightforward, credible, character driven narrative nonfiction about the rise, demise and repercussions of San Francisco in the sixties. #booksky #agent

Hey, when you fiddle with words, therapist is the rapist. I never thought of that before...it would've come in handy. Anything worth reading or writing is up to morons, imbecilic, money-grubbing goons. So much worth reading and writing, so little getting through. G.

I just spent a month sending an extraordinarily good query letter for two books to 3,000 appropriate lit agents and got a few snippy, ill-considered responses. Fuck 'em all, the long and the short and the tall.

Click on the title, not the picture. G.

Our glorious president is only going to allow people over 65 to have the newest covid vaccine. That has me worried. Wouldn't the easiest, cheapest way to get rid of social security be to kill off everyone over 65? How much money would THAT make us? Remember Midas? #covid #socialsecurity #trump

This very likely isn't a new idea but if Trump thought it was okay to take over Canada of course he's going to think it's okay for Putin to take over Ukraine. I'm pretty sure neither of them wants to test each other's nuclear arsenal. Gimme Canada, take Ukraine; give and take, such a deal!

My math may be wrong. I was never any good at that shit. But did the US just drop one-quarter of an atom bomb on Iran for no fucking reason whatsoever? The kind of bomb that blew up Hiroshima and Nagasaki? The one that killed 130,000 people in a few minutes and 200,000 in a few months? #Iran #USA
