There's a big argument going on between the 'If we don't reward them for doing the right thing after being pressured, they'll just stick to their guns' people and the 'No, I'm not going to support a studio that uses AI' people rn.

I can see both arguments, I'm undecided but lean towards the latter

A good way to tell if people are underpricing is to ask how long they expect to take and then divide cost by time to get an hourly rate. Then you can make sure they get the living wage for their area.

(I know you know this, Val. This is for the benefit of others who wish to commission people)

One would assume that they're using it, but we're getting the Universal Translator translation of it.

Which then raises the question: how does the UT know when someone is purposefully saying the word in a way they don't want it to be translated? Context clues? Can it read minds?

One of my criticisms of Bowie was that he announced that there was going to be a phone poll where the winning song was going to be brought back for that tour.

NME tried to get everyone to vote for The Laughing Gnome so they cancelled the idea entirely.

Also, it is amusing to me that the Glam album took off (and remains what a lot of people at the time associate Bowie with), but the previous album Hunky Dory began outselling it and a lot of music writers and a section of the fans think it's better than Ziggy (myself included)

I always found it fascinating how many albums it took for Bowie to become big, and the way each one was in a different genre. Music hall, then folk, then hard rock (Specifically because Visconti and Ronson wanted to do that style, and Bowie didn't mind), then singer-songwriter...

... and then Glam.
