The 🇩🇪🇬🇧 economies are intertwined, with 🇩🇪 firms employing 450k people in the UK. German Industry UK is a great example of these close ties, representing some 100 members, employing around 100k people. Great meeting GIUK members last night to discuss our shared economic future.

Combating antisemitism and promoting Holocaust remembrance are priorities for Germany. For that reason, @germany.diplo.de has increased its funding for the @wienerlibrary.bsky.social this year. I look forward to continuing the wonderful cooperation during my posting to London.

British-German musical ties have always been at the heart of our relations. It was a huge privilege to welcome Anita Lasker-Wallfisch as Guest of Honour as cellist Raphael Wallfisch and pianist Simon Callaghan explored musical affinities between 🇬🇧 and 🇩🇪 with memorable performances.

British-German musical ties have always been at the heart of our relations. It was a huge privilege to welcome Anita Lasker-Wallfisch as Guest of Honour as cellist Raphael Wallfisch and pianist Simon Callaghan explored musical affinities between 🇬🇧 and 🇩🇪 with memorable performances.
Excellent first meeting with the APPG on Europe with a good discussion on bilateral relations, security & defence, trade and migration, as set out in the #KensingtonTreaty. MPs will play a key role in bringing the treaty to life. Look forward to working with the APPG on Germany.

The Eurofighter Typhoon deal is good news for European security and NATO's deterrence, strengthening a key NATO partner that promotes stability in the region.
