Also, never gave an update on this project - finished it in December last year, but only managed to block it now. Thankfully gained a few cm! 🧶

Done, blocked, and ready to be put into a drawer because the sun decided to show up again 😃 (ok so might get a few outings with this before it gets tucked away). Might revisit it one day, still smitten with the grid like structure. 🧶

This shawl is both fun and tedious - lots of repeats but that also makes it easy to crochet (don't have to stare at the pattern to see what the next stitches are), and so far I haven't lost any stitches °knock on wood° But I am very smitten with the grid like pattern. 🧶

Current crochet project: Triangular shawl "Merope" by KleinesFeines. Part of project "deplete yarn stash" that works just as well as project "deplete TBR book pile". But I like that crochet streak that's happening. Love to end the day and cleanse my mind by forgetting how to count. 🥰 🧶

Honestly and truly, when I knitted a baby blanket for my youngest nephew, I spent almost the entire time repeating silently in my head as I worked, "Safe and loved, safe and loved, safe and loved..."
Last night I was doomscrolling reddit and this post was like… an unexpected poem and also now I want to whisper little love spells over everything I make. For my own good as well as for others.

New year, new project (... starting. Still have two crochet WIPs running).
Handspun yarns are from Iupiter Yarn on etsy, colourways Ignis#1 and Autumna#6. 🧶

Turns out I didn't need to worry. Even redid the sc row with the intended dcs. Will block once I'm back home, but I'm very chuffed about how it turned out. 🧶 #crochet

Will I win yarn chicken? Only one row to go but it's the final row of a triangle shawl soo.. 👀 already switched from 4 to 3,5mm hooks and substituted dc with sc stitches the row before 🧶 (at the very least I don't have to worry about not being able to use the whole cake).

A triangle shawl, this time for me. Hopefully I'll end up using most of the cake as it has a beautiful colourway. Yarn: Sultan Deluxe - Chameleon (32)

I hate doing that but with the current state of crisis (loved one in hospital + other stuff I won't go into), I'd love to have some income.

Project "how to make the best out of purchasing the wrong type of shelf as a bookshelf" moderately successful?
Shelf: IKEA Platsa corpus & inserts
Backrow: IKEA Bekväm spice rack
Middle row: Make up pallet organisers, height 4 cm
Left to do: rearrange all the books once the TBR has gone down a bit

Finished the lotus flower blanket, currently folded up and sitting on my mum's table as a welcome back present. Might revisit that pattern but with a less scratchy yarn this time. 🧶

New crochet project I started after I caught The C-Virus. Am well again, and the blanket has grown by now. Might recreate it with less scratchy yarn (it does come with a glitter thread) and try to make it bigger. 🧶

The never ending stola might just about, maybe, finally come to an end soon. Hopefully. Idk man I just want to finish it, but that's my punishment for miscalculating 🫠🧶

A quick project to finally use up my hank of Untercover Otter - Chaos yarn. Got this pattern book for mini scarves, will work my way through it Thought it'd run out when I was halfway through but surprisingly, I still have some yarn wound up. 🧶 #crochet

Finally upgraded my shelves. Slightly underestimated the depth of the Platsa corpus. °coughs° Upside: triple stacking of hardcover /large paperbacks now possible. Also moved my yarn stash closer to the desk.

Current crochet project: The wild oleander hooded scarf by wickedlyhandmade. A fun project for a friend to distract me from the 3km stola I'm apparently making (reading yarnlength is hard y'all). Love the colour of the yarn but my god this is the squeakiest acrylic yarn I've ever used 🤣🧶

Nothing funnier than finishing your work, realising you made a mistake after you've already fastened off and missed a stitch, frog the row, redo it, realising AGAIN you've made a mistake, frog half the row again and finally finish, only to have wlmore leftover yarn than when you originally started 🧶

Current crochet project 🧶: crochet stola, pattern from Gründl:

Current crochet project: Love the colouring of the yarn (Gründl Pacific Lace), but it's absolutely unforgiving when it comes to frogging. Had me sweating a lot when I had to frog 5 rows and hoping the yarn wasn't going to rip. 💀🧶

A quick project done kinda over the weekend. Will experiment with the pattern, maybe I can use all dc instead of the skips to make a closed bag?
February 19, 2024 at 10:57 AM
Current crochet project finished! It's being blocked at the moment, I hope the zig zag ends will come through (and I got reminded that I really should have gotten more blocking mats). 🧶
February 11, 2024 at 6:49 PM
Crochet progress report: I hope I'll finish it before the warm weather kicks in. The red has switched to a dark orange-y colour but it doesn't really show up in pictures. Am surprised at how much I've gotten out of the cake so far (and still a bit left to to - planning to use the entire cake) 🧶
