Few material things can provide perspective. This does for me.

It depends on how much they are lying about everything. Deepseek is good. It's open source. But they aren't transparent about the economics. At least from what I have read so far.

I'm not an AI expert. But IMO, the biggest take away is that our biggest AI companies tried to make competition about how much money they could spend. Locking out others.
Deepseek turned that upside down. Which could open the door to many smarter, more entrepreneurial competitors

The Hegseth confirmation shows that Republican lawmakers have put party over country. They should be ashamed, but I doubt if they are.
