For the record I refuse to give my personal information as there's already been data breaches. Anything that will require me to verify I'm not a child (which is why this is being done..."for the children") is dead to me

I'm in the UK and it's law here now. Any company that doesn't comply will be hit with massive fines so companies like Facebook, YouTube etc are making these changes mandatory worldwide. Hope this helps clear some stuff up.
