Over the past year or so, I’ve been raising teenagers, working in a leadership position and taking care of my parents, who just last year were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Hi- I’m a sandwich. I wrote about my experience for Business Insider:
My parents sold their home of 40 years and retired to Colombia. I moved them back to the US when they both got sick.
My parents were enjoying their retirement in Colombia. When they were both diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, I had to move them back to Houston.

Houston Landing reporters at the development observed several traffic stops by state troopers and at least a dozen DPS and unmarked law enforcement vehicles patrolling the area. Despite what Abbott says, no officials identifying themselves as federal immigration enforcement agents were spotted.
