You're getting too technical
To 99% of people out there, these are all "the same". Are they really? Just on a very basic level. They use a similar principle butt work different. But people asume they're very similar. And not explaining shit definitely doesn't help combat that ignorance.

I disagree completely about not explaining the permutations. By that logic, not explaining them also harma the advance in its medical aplications. Just because most people make an irresponsible use of the technology doesn't justify basically casting off a very useful tool.

Which have their uses, but which also are extremely unreliable outside of the scope of what they were created for. And unfortunately, people don't have the critical thinking to make good use of them, which is rapidly making our society dumber by the minute.

I too know what Del Toro means. AI has a lot of different permutations. Some are really useful, like the ones used to look for early stages of diseases. Some are atrocious, like generative AI (art is the last thing we should be wanting an AI to make). Then there's the ones like GPT (1/2)

No, AI has actually proven to be a game changer for early detection of many diseases; among them, breast cancer.
AI is a great tool... for certain things. And on the right hands. But we really REALLY must avoid, at all costs, AI on creative environments.
