these aren't the typical red kind of garnet, they're almondine garnet! which can range from black to brown, they're also magnetic!

I've cleaned up and polished a few by hand, and here's a slab of mica schist that has some crystals in it

Ive probably dug out about 30 (and maybe more??) pounds of this stuff so far, the amount of garnet in this area is INSANE. all of these little pebbles are garnet

I've been sifting for the nicely formed crystals and spread out everything I dumped out so I can pick it over when it rains

Artwork used internally at DIC Entertainment during the production of the Super Mario World cartoon, replacing Marge Simpson with Mario. According to a former DIC employee, this was made due to an inside joke at the studio, though the exact nature of the joke has been lost.
