#Founders: push to real proof (retention, revenue efficiency, bottoms-up expansion) before you price your future.
Investors: what minimum evidence earns your first meaningful check—weekly active retention? Payback < 12 months? 10+ unaffiliated customers? Say it out loud.

Why are we still funding experiments at company prices?

Flip the order:

Build → validate → then raise.
Let founders take the real risk: time in market, painful iterations, pivots.
Write the check once they’ve found pull, not just promise.

The loop I see over and over:

Ship a shiny POC/clickable demo
Raise
Spend to “build the real thing”
Burn months (and cap table) chasing PMF
Realize at month 6–12 the bet was wrong → pivot, re-raise, repeat
