I've rather gone off stephen fry in recent years (through nothing he's done, I suspect) but when I met him several times in the 90s, he was such a kind, thoughtful and generous person.

I don't normally like Alan Carr or Kate Garroway, but they've been fun so far.
David Olusoga is someone I've really liked for a long time.
And I've been taken by surprise by how beautiful Charlotte Church is.

I don't even remember him being in it, but do remember him in DBS, although didn't notice much beyond how wonderful Helen McCrory was in it.

It also covered OCD, alcoholism, the Troubles, baby death and parental abuse, so not exactly a barrel of laughs for a 65 minute play.

It was called Consumed. I looked again at the website and to be fair it did warn about suicide, trauma and eating disorders, but I hadn't clicked on the warning.

Off to see another play tonight. This one had a warning for rape, death, animal slaughter and racial slurs, so.... I'm not anticipating a huge improvement on my mood.

I saw a play i absolutely HATED this afternoon. It was about generational trauma (but totally didn't say that in the advertising, or I wouldn't have gone) and was just 4 women all being vile to each other. And then playing with soil.

I saw a good flood once in an Ibsen somewhere in the west end. I remember nothing at all about the play except the flood...

Today's mud was just baffling.
I quite like rain in plays though. I liked the Mark Strong View from the bridge one.

There was a very good mud bit at the end of the... (whatever company it was, something northern) Richard iii a few years ago. Battle of bosworth with Richard alone on stage with multiple mirrors, and a bucket of mud. That one was pretty magical.

The cast were good, they worked hard, but i did not enjoy it.
