Nonostante i cronici problemi trasversali a tutte le Forze Armate (scarsità di fondi, addestramento insufficiente, difficoltà a livello di organici...), la MM dimostra di avere sempre livelli di operatività simili a quelli di altre Marine.

Nel senso che acquisteremo una parte di KF-51 "completi" nel senso che saranno MBT in tutto e pet tutto.
Idem per i restanti mezzi che, a loro volta, saranno allestiti nelle varie versioni di supporto previste.

Bensì circa 130 MBT e i restanti oltre 140 mezzi in versioni specializzate (genio, recupero, eccetera).

Negli anni '70 la media NATO era del 4,6% e negli anni '80 addirittura del 4,8%.
Molte cose però sono (oggettivamente) cambiate da allora e gli stessi USA oggi spendono poco sopra il 3%.
Ecco, proprio un 3% speso bene (soprattutto in Europa), IMHO sarebbe un obiettivo raggiungibile e adeguato.

Non sarà necessario questo 5% venuto fuori all’improvviso (e che onestamente mi sembra una stupidaggine colossale!).
Anche il già ventilato aumento al 3% (IMHO, più realistico) avrebbe il potere di far "saltare il banco" per l'Italia.
Quindi sì, il tempo dei giochetti è finito per l'Italia.
