That's not how US congressional appropriations work - you can't just re-allocate funds willy-nilly. What would help is if the government wasn't shut down.

Feels like Scotland could fix the gender care crisis fast: treat trans healthcare like all gender-related care.

GPs already prescribe HRT, contraception, and ED meds safely. With clear national standards and informed consent, they can do the same here.

The barrier is bureaucracy, not medicine.

FTX was absolutely doing illegal shit, no doubt. But let’s not kid ourselves, the US saw a chance to seize assets and tighten grip on crypto. No bankers jailed for 2008, yet SBF gets the hammer. This was less about justice, more about consolidating control.

Trump’s own speech has made his intent clear. By framing a “war from within”, naming only D cities, he signalling that any order would be to suppress rivals and intimidate voters.

Any general should be safe to refuse such an order, and Congress would need to grow a spine and back them if they did.

A strong, aligned trade deal with the EU. We're still 99% aligned, most businesses haven't shifted quality of products and most still meet all EU standards.

We could do a compressive TA, make a small payment each year and reopen FOM (with border checks/passports) and skip this 90 days bullshit.

EOs aren’t laws and cannot rewrite legislation. A £100k H-1B “fee” is fantasy. INA only lets DHS set admin costs. Anything else is a tax, and taxes need Congress. White House spin doesn’t change that.
