Suppose I should introduce myself. I’m Aislin, 34, exhausted single parent in England. I embroider stuff, I cross stitch, I parent, I try to survive and barely ever leave my house. That’s basically it. I’m not very interesting :p but hi anyway.
Every project, all year, I kept the off cuts of thread to make a bauble. I can see the glow in the dark pink thread from my jacket, the forget me not blue from my father’s memorial piece, bright rainbows from a pride piece… it’s nice to see the year’s work

This would be a lot easier if I a) had a sewing machine b) had any idea what I was doing 😝
WIP. My sunflower jeans wore out and I didn’t want to bin them so… attempting to make a bag! The elastic waistband tripped me up, so it’s a little wonky, but it’s not terrible!

The thread to finish the last rose finally arrived! Jacket completed and washed. Need it to dry to get proper pictures, and of course the sun has packed up and left 😝

Surprisingly difficult to photograph a jacket in its entirety. All finished apart from one rose where I ran out of thread and now have to wait for the postman to bring me some more 😭
