I know how invasive these guys are and I’ve done my fair share of extermination, but I also took one home to keep in a terrarium and these guys are so silly, look how fast these guys launch themselves when first taking off!!

Dawg… getting this bike was the best decision I have made for myself both physically and mentally. If I’m bored, just hop on my bike, if I wanna go outside, I take the bike out. It’s genuinely been so fucking good.

Ended up replacing it with one out of a 2004 forester, I just needed to swap the wiring harness connector over to the old one used in the SVX. Turns out, it is very difficult to reuse a switch that has been opened like I did lmao. Either way it’s started every single time I turned the key!!

Literally ripped this hog apart, cleaned and sanded the contacts down to fresh copper, extended the spring so it puts more pressure on the contacts, and bulged the plate out a bit on the contacts for the same reason

I would hear the solenoid engage on the starter but the motor itself wouldn’t spin. It would if I cranked the key a few times. Feels like there’s a bad electrical connection somewhere. Everything ohms out ok on the starter itself, which is leading me to believe it’s a bad connection somewhere.

Mine honestly isn’t the worst, I cleaned it all up nice and lubricated it all. I think the issue I was having was probably a bad engine ground though.
