I'm getting like maybe a 70% on this exam but I am walking in confident as shit and pretending like I can actually do well
Nothing beats the feeling of doing study sets and actually understanding the material
I know the style isn't completely gone btw, Balatro was the biggest indie of last year and entirely uses pixel art. I'm just personally more a fan of pixel art so I'm just always gonna want more of it lol
All of those PSX-style 3D graphics are cool, but imo I miss the pixel-slop era of indie gaming. Games like Dead Cells and Celeste pulled off the style so unbelievably well and I wish more games leaned into it
I played the demo and it felt like one of those Roguelike that has a gimmick that sounds super compelling, but isn't actually all that compelling. Maybe the full game is better in that regard though, I know people are liking it
Been meaning to pick Blasphemous up for some time now because of how insanely good the pixel art looks,,,, good to hear the game isn't all vibes over gameplay.
I don’t have enough joy in my heart for that “sizzling fajitas” meme
Took my 3 hours to get thorough the other 2/3s lmao I'm still so cooked
Typing up what will (hopefully) be my final draft right now and it's only taken me about 20 minutes to get through 1/3rd of the material I wanted to cover, I might be GOATed
Like I'm literally reviewing an album I like! An album I've heard dozens of times! And it still took over 8 hours to even get some basic notes together!!! I spent 12 hours on the outline alone!!!!! I am not built for this shit at all!!!!!!!!
The main hindrance I'm having right now is that I am struggling hard with cutting down on my filler words. I did not realize how much of my writing serves literally zero purpose in the greater scheme of my papers. Pretty big reason why I can't seem to fit a thought in a single post here lol
That's the one nice thing about writing absurdly detailed notes. There is never a point in writing where I will need to stop and look something up. There is more often a point while writing where I look at my notes and think to myself "why the fuck did I include that, it wasn't relevant at all"

I should clarify I think I also fall into this category. I haven't fully pinpointed what my favorite kind of sound is. That's part of why I love music so much, it feels like constant self-exploration and I love it. It scratches such a unique itch I think most people don't even realize they have.
More than likely you haven't properly zeroed in on your favorite genre unless you just got super lucky. I think that's beautiful but also a bit horrifying. There is such a shear volume of easily accessible music out there that you probably haven't heard your favorite song yet.
I think it's a little odd how little genre-exploration people do. So many genres from the 1990s-2000s fit perfectly into so many different modern-day niches and yet there is so little attention on them. I always found that odd.
On that topic, is the Persona 5 soundtrack the most recent genuinely influential piece of acid jazz music out there? Because going through the tracks briefly makes it clear that it is predominantly acid jazz. I just need more people to get into the genre it'd be so cool.
Like 90% of the nerdy internet kids obsessed with Persona 5's soundtrack would adore acid jazz. I don't understand how a good chunk of them never made the jump over beyond like a single Jamiroquai song.
We need an acid jazz revival so bad it's what the youth needs. There's like a track or two off To Pimp A Butterfly which I think might fit that descriptor but it also came out over a decade ago so I struggle to count that.
The review is mid as fuck right now btw so I'm not gonna share it but it's for the first Jamiroquai album. Verdict is that the writing is a little cringy and sloppy but it sounds good so idrc. We as a population should listen to more goofy sci-fi acid jazz anyways.

Being forced to write an actual, professionally formatted review for my literature course this semester has been both a blessing and a curse because it has been such a fun thing to do as an assignment, but also such an awful thing to realize I am not good at it at all
There is an unbelievable amount of dopamine released in my brain when I feel like I made a good point even if I didn't at all lol. Breakthroughs of any kind just feel so good that even the ones that are kinda bad feel so fucking good.
Writing sucks for like 90% of the creative process except for that 10% when you finally figure out what you actually want to write and then it starts to hit like crack

Wikipedia is worth $10/month because if it dies so does reliable knowledge. Cough up if you can -- it's cheaper, more interesting and morally superior to Netflix.
wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...

Right now my team is just Chikorita and Venipede off-rip. Debating between Hawlucha or Riolu (whichever I find first realistically lol). Alakazam if I can find an easy way to get one. Next to that I have no clue, there's so many banger Pokemon in ZA (from what I've seen)
