A surefire way to reset tenebri_cosa.exe is to comment on how nice their smile is, or how soft their ears are, or even compliment something that they do work very hard on (jewelry, for gifts) that they feel somewhat insecure about

When Teneb’ri gets compliments, it’s usually about how smartly dressed they are, which they accept graciously because it’s true! They do tend to put effort into that so it’s nice to hear it rewarded!

If someone compliments their physical appearance otherwise though, they’ll deflect as best they can

This September I tried to finish 1 (one) of my three dozen WIPs for once and I did actually do it! So now I've got a bit of writing I can share

Started this one a little over two years ago, about Finch struggling with old grief for an old friend

Text: He remembers waking with the tide over his head, and choking on water and salt, and feeling the huge weight of the wave dragging itself back out to sea with pieces of the shore still in its grip. He remembers the surge of vertigo as his fist closed around water. The ocean had held on to Primula, and he hadn’t. He suspects he’ll remember that much for as long as he lives.

And in his dreams, because it’s the way of dreams, he always truly believes he can set things right. He truly believes he’s found her.
