Today my daughter's preschool is holding a farewell assembly for one of her classmates whose mother has no choice but to self deport. The school is hoping it will be joyful in tone, so we might make this less upsetting for this 3 year old.

There's just no words for the uselessness of this cruelty.

I'm at the scene where ICE abducted multiple people from Lincoln and Foster this morning.

A WGN producer was among the people taken, allegedly because she was among a group of bystanders who tried to intervene. ICE agents hit this car while making their getaway.

My husband has hemophilia and is disabled. I’ve lived here my whole life (45 years) and have witnessed the GOP destroy this state day by day, year by year. Our roads are shit, our education funding is abysmal and the GOP could not care less. They have no plans to help with ANYTHING.
