It really does say something when an article about reactions to a coal power plant continuing to operate says nothing about climate change, the existential threat it poses and the need to phase out oil, gas and coal.

My sister told me of a conversation she had with her friend recently after our mum died.
She was asked how are you feeling about, he good friend knows some of the history.
Sue replied

We were let down badly by both our parents and it affected us as children and onwards.

You really had me thinking Lisa
So many bad memories.
But I did have one major fear growing up.
Upsetting either one of my parents and feeling the wrath of their anger.
The punishment didn’t always fit the crime so to speak.
But the “crimes” inevitably got worse and the punishment.
Then I left.

That must’ve been really hard.
School and home were never great for me either. It has been suggested to me that i should probably seek a diagnosis.
Thankfully religion was never part of the equation.
I have never been fearful of “God or Hell”

Yep, another @albomp.bsky.social demostration of kowtowing and bending over for vested interests. Mr Spinelss PM is a complete waste of time and oxygen. Imagine a PM that invested in the community instead of the gambling industry..that would be novel!

You've got Australians out there who are in a lot of pain, you've got young Australians who are being advertised [to] to the point that they think gambling is just a normal part of watching sport, surely we can do better than that as a country
