Had a great weekend with a lot of board games being played. Finally got to try the Matcha expansion to The White Castle, which made a great game even better. Also got the excellent Revive to the table, along with Shackleton Base which have been played relatively often since we got it at Spiel.

A few Leidang units in their ships. The Leidang was the conscripted soldiers that each village had to provide when the King came to muster units for war. In Fjordar they give additional strength in battle when positioned on a hill above the battle area. #fjordar #modernboardgames #boardgames #bgg

Sverre Sigurdsson. King of Norway from 1184 to 1202. In Fjordar Sverre is one of the leader cards you can play from the Birkebeiner alliance. Known among other things for burning the town of Sogndal to the ground in 1184, his special ability in Fjordar is to remove a village and gain 3 gold.
