.org and we can schedule you in!

For this project, we want to speak to people who have NOT donated/pledged via Giving What We Can, other effective charities etc

Help our charity out: I'm looking for some people to user test a tool we're working on next week! You'd be walking through a design on a call and giving your thoughts for roughly 15-30 mins.

This is a great way to help us make a bigger impact with a small amount of your time!
gracevadams.bsky.social
Now is a critical time where additional funding can do so much, and inspiring others to join us in giving can make a life-saving difference!

Please send me a message, or reply if you're keen to learn more!

Have you taken a 10% Pledge or Trial Pledge? Have you been inspired to step up your giving in the face of international development funding cuts?

We'd be interested in featuring you on our social media channels, in an effort to inspire others to step up their giving.

I just read this on the weekend and thought it was extremely helpful and will be going forward!

The political climate feels scary and more divisive than ever, but I stand strong in my belief that we can develop a cosmopolitan world over time. We just need to keep advocating for these values together with others from across the world, and building systems that allow us all to thrive.
gracevadams.bsky.social
In a cosmopolitan world, we would all benefit from our diverse cultures and offerings.
gracevadams.bsky.social
We as individuals have so much to learn from each other, and so much to give each other. If we could distribute our resources across the world, no one would be living in extreme poverty. If we could see ourselves as one big community, there would be less division.
gracevadams.bsky.social
A big goal of mine is to contribute to creating a more cosmopolitan world. One where we view ourselves as global citizens. Where we care about everyone equally. None of us chose where to be born. Each of us has an equal level of level and worth.
Image containing the definition of Cosmopolitanism. Cosmopolitanism is the idea that all human beings are members of a single community. Its adherents are known as cosmopolitan or cosmopolite. Cosmopolitanism is both prescriptive and aspirational, believing humans can and should be "world citizens" in a "universal community"

And if you're inspired to also take action, consider taking a pledge to give a % of your income (starting from 1% for 6 months) to effective charities working on global health.

I will do what I can to ensure that everyone on this planet is able to live a healthy and happy life.

2. I'm going to make a big additional donation right now to GiveWell's All Grants Fund which funds high impact global health interventions.

But I know that there are actions I can take:

1. I'm going to write a letter to my member of government, calling on them to ask the US government to reverse the decision. And encourage Australia to increase it's commitments to the WHO.
gracevadams.bsky.social
The funding and operations of the WHO will be severely damaged by Trump's choice, and people will die as a consequence.

Tears well in my eyes for those who don't have a choice but to accept this.
gracevadams.bsky.social
No one chooses to let their children die from malaria, water borne viruses, malnutrition or any number of things that cause death for those in extreme poverty.
gracevadams.bsky.social
US President Trump signed an executive order for the US to leave the World Health Organization. Everyone around the world deserves to have a healthy and happy life. No one chooses where they are born. No one chooses to experience extreme poverty.
