I asked CoPilot to produce a map of England and Wales highlighting Worcester (for a PowerPoint presentation). The result gives me new insight into English cities. At least Southampton is even more accessible by boat.

Will someone please tell me how long it would have taken House and Senate Republicans to succumb to that mythical Democrat "leverage", so I can tell federal employees, and others dependent on the feds for income or food, how long they would have to wait.

A lot of people have blocked me because I have stood up for federal workers getting paid and hungry children getting fed, rather than putting off indefinitely some ACA politics-only win that will never, ever, get passed by this Congress. I welcome their hatred.

I really can't understand people who are willing to sacrifice federal workers and SNAP benefits in the hope that if the Senate Democrats "hold out", like, forever, the House will suddenly want to extend the ACA credits.

In England now with @jeanniebrooks.bsky.social and am struck by the number of English flags, and a few Union Jacks, flying usually at half mast (US half staff). Struck because historically Brits have not been given to personal, or municipal, flag flying. Apparently it is a very recent development.
