I was ill equipped to help. She hadn't asked me. She had made phone calls to the people that could assist her.
As soon as she had made contact with everyone, I got behind the wheel of the truck. I'd wait to make sure she didn't need a ride, then I'd head back to the ranch, and out of the way.
