Oh wow, I'm envious - must have been an amazing experience!
I agree totally with @katherinepemberton.bsky.social It's got to be Paul Simon's 'Graceland'. We drove all over France in our 2CV van with that playing, and all over the UK too. We'd pick up hitch-hikers who would thank us for the music. Many happy memories. 😊🎵
I agree, I am about to post the same thing!
I had a vile boss in the early 70s when I worked translating tenders etc from French & back. A French group visited, I went into his office to give him my translation for them. He took it & said 'These people are French, dear. You won't be able to understand them so you can go'. I did go - home. 😡
Source online Food Hygiene training for volunteers in our local foodshare group, which I've done. Now to do the training...
It's all 'bread & circuses' with the BBC to try to keep the peasants happy, missing the fact that most of us are a bloody sight brighter than they are.
The reason I stopped watching BBC was because of all the ruddy baking & dancing nonsense instead of quality stuff. I don't know who cares about these 'celebs', I certainly don't. They all look the same to me - but then I suffer from face-blindness so all the filler work is lost on me. 🤣
When the leaves have fallen I'll be able to see 'Barry', the buzzard who roosts in the oak tree at the bottom of the garden. However he'll probably be finding somewhere more sheltered up the hill amongst the conifers.
It's wet underfoot this morning but at least not raining which is always a plus! 😊
Lots of blackbirds & robins hopping about too!
Autumn dog walks (continued) - this lane is a few metres from my house. I'll be sad when the leaves have all fallen as the colours are so glorious this year.

If you get fined £150 for pouring half a cup of coffee into the Thames, how much do you get fined for dumping two million tons of sh*t?

The answer of course is you have to pay Thames Water another £3bn a year.
A night out with Captain Ross Poldark could be very interesting, particularly if any of his strange relations turned up. 🤣
Possibly The Beatles' 'Love Me Do'. I was expelled from school on the last day because I helped lead a conga of girls over no-women's land to the boys' school cricket pitch. I was so glad to leave that place & do my A levels etc at a FE college without all the petty rules on uniform etc.
Which may or may not be a good thing ha ha. I like you Sukie, thanks for your company! 🥰 xxx
I know the feeling.... 🤣❤️
Aw Sukie I'm struggling a bit here m'dear. Getting too bloody old I fear xxx🤣🙄
It astonishes me anyone with a brain would vote for Farage You only have to check out the councils currently run by Reform where they're raising taxes & reducing performance - but no doubt with their snouts still in the trough of public funding. FFS people, get a grip & see that they're grifters.
I am, just. Decided I don't need a glass of wine. Clearly I'm not well... 🤣
Agreed, why is it that the petty offender ends up in the slammer whilst the millionaire/those under their protection walk away without a - ahem - blemish on their character. Society currently is biased against those of us who pay our taxes &/or are concerned about the welfare of the weakest.
It would be difficult here below Mynydd Troed in Mid Wales as we only have two pubs in the village (which calls itself a town).
I know Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Herts & Cambs well, plus northern counties but I seem to have had very little to do with Sussex. Do tell what I'm missing!
Jolly good, glad to hear it! 😊❤️
I had an Uncle Arthur & Aunt Meggie who lived in Middlesbrough; he was a postman. They were lovely, we stayed with them when visiting the northern family. I was fascinated that their house had gas lights & there was a tin bath outside. Hard times then up north.
